In the poem "Five Little Pumpkins", students will clap the rhythm of the poem, then will add 3 other rhythm parts underneath the main rhythm.

Materials needed-drum (tupperware, bucket), rhythm sticks (wooden/plastic spoons), triangle (metal spoons) and an electronic device or computer.

Difficulty level-easy enough for younger students to learn the poem with body percussion or a rhythm instrument and difficult enough for the older students to follow the lesson straight through.
